It's been a big week for the county's heritage and its politics, Historic England has weighed in on the Spode Works demolition plans, and Stoke-on-Trent's city status has finally been settled for good as councils prepare for the biggest shake-up in decades.
We've got proper Signal news too. Filming has almost wrapped on our first ever Signal TV documentary, telling the story of Foxfield Colliery through the eyes of the miners, railway volunteers and museum staff who keep it alive, alongside T Level Media students from City of Stoke-on-Trent Sixth Form College, who've spent weeks learning what it means to sit with someone and really listen. Watching it come together has been one of the highlights of our year, and we can't wait for you to see it.
And a huge thank you to everyone who backed our crowdfunder. We didn't quite hit the target, but every single pledge helps us do more of exactly this, students behind cameras, more documentaries, more of Staffordshire's stories told properly. We're genuinely grateful to every one of you!
