The Swansway Fund, established by Swansway Motor Group, supports grassroots
organisations making a meaningful difference within local communities. At the latest panel, nearly £5,000 was awarded to organisations working to support people facing homelessness and financial hardship across North Staffordshire.

The funded organisations are:

The Macari Foundation –to support core costs for its homeless people project in Stoke-on-Trent, helping provide stability and essential support for people experiencing homelessness.

Green Tree House –to provide food support to local families struggling with the cost-of-living crisis in the Biddulph area.

Gingerbread Family Support –to support its Activity Club, which builds confidence and provides fun, positive experiences for children who have experienced homelessness in Stoke-on-Trent.

Matthew Shannon from Swansway Motor Group said:

“Supporting our local communities is a big part of who we are as a family-owned business and something we genuinely care about. Through the Swansway Fund, we’re proud to be able to support three fantastic organisations that are making a meaningful difference across Staffordshire.
By investing in charities close to home, we know the support is going directly into communities that matter to our colleagues and customers. It’s important to us that we can see the impact being made and these partnerships allow us to do just that. Giving back locally isn’t just something we do, it’s a reflection of our Caring value and the role we believe we should play in supporting the areas we serve.”

Joe Palmer, Programmes Officer from The Community Foundation for Staffordshire & Shropshire added:

“We are proud to administer the Swansway Fund and to work alongside Swansway Motor Group to support organisations that are rooted in their communities. These grants will help local charities respond to real and pressing need, ensuring help reaches people where and when it is most needed. Partnerships like this demonstrate the power of local giving to create meaningful, lasting impact across Staffordshire.”
