ATG Entertainment (ATGE) has been confirmed as the operator to continue running Stoke-on-Trent's two landmark venues, the Regent Theatre and Victoria Hall.
The decision reflects the council's confidence in ATGE’s long-term partnership approach, its strong track record of operating both venues, and a shared commitment to continued investment in the city's cultural infrastructure.
Councillor Jane Ashworth, Leader of Stoke-on-Trent City Council and Cabinet Member for Strategy, Economic Development, Culture and Sport, said: "The Regent Theatre and Victoria Hall are two of Stoke-on-Trent's most important cultural assets, bringing people into the city centre and providing residents and visitors with access to a fantastic programme of live entertainment.
We are pleased to be moving forward with ATGE as operator, and look forward to continuing to work together to protect and strengthen these much-loved venues for the future. This is about ensuring our city has a sustainable, ambitious and high-quality cultural offer that supports our communities, our city centre and the wider visitor economy."
The Regent Theatre and Victoria Hall play a central role in the cultural life of Stoke-on-Trent, welcoming a diverse programme of live music, theatre, comedy and touring productions each year, alongside community and education activity. ATGE has operated both venues for many years, working closely with the council and local partners to ensure they remain welcoming, accessible and sustainable cultural assets for the city and the wider region.
Claire Dixon, Business Director – UK Venues for ATGE, said: "We're delighted to have been confirmed as the operator for the Regent Theatre and Victoria Hall. These are fantastic venues, but what makes them truly special is the incredibly passionate and committed venue team behind them.
Being able to continue running these venues together is something we're very proud of, and this decision reinforces our long-term commitment to investing in both our people and the cultural future of Stoke-on-Trent."
Cheryl Taylor, Theatre Director of the Regent Theatre and Victoria Hall, said: ‘‘For many of the team here, these iconic venues are more than just places to work - we consider them our home. I am thrilled that ATGE has been confirmed as the operator, allowing us to continue doing the work we love. This is a brilliant opportunity to further embed ourselves in Stoke-on-Trent’s cultural landscape and provide our wonderful communities with the very best live entertainment.”
