Staffordshire-based M Club Spa & Fitness has unveiled the next stage of its ambitious £1 million investment programme, with work now underway on five brand-new covered padel courts at its Newcastle-under-Lyme site.

Padel is one of the world’s fastest-growing sports, combining elements of tennis and squash, it is easy to learn, highly social and suitable for players of all ages and abilities. More than 30 million people now play padel worldwide, with participation continuing to grow rapidly across the UK.
Construction has begun this week, with the courts expected to open at the end of September. The new facilities will be available from 6am until 10pm weekdays and 8am-7pm at weekends, for both members and the general public.
As part of M Club’s vision to create a premium health, fitness and wellbeing destination, players will also be able to enhance their padel experience through a range of optional add-on passes. These will include access to their excellent facilities including a large range of classes, luxury spa and rehabilitation sessions within M Club’s Urban Spa, as well as ‘Club Hours,’ childcare at the club’s on-site Montessori Nursery, Nurture Childcare, allowing parents and carers to enjoy their sessions while their children are cared for in a safe and nurturing environment.
M Padel will also create an experienced in-house coaching team dedicated to building a fun, welcoming and inclusive padel community. The programme will include expert coaching for all abilities, social sessions, competitions, junior development programmes and competitive leagues, providing opportunities for everyone from complete beginners to experienced players.
Earlier this year, M Club announced it had become an official HYROX affiliate. Work is well underway at its Festival Park facility, where a dedicated 6,000 square foot HYROX Centre is being created, further strengthening the club’s position as one of the region’s leading fitness destinations.
M Club Company Director Shanie Chaudry-Goodall said:
“This is an incredibly exciting time for M Club and for our community. We’re creating so much more than just outstanding facilities – we’re building a destination where people can enjoy sport, fitness, wellbeing and family time all in one place.
“Combined with our new HYROX Centre, this £1 million investment demonstrates M Club’s commitment to expanding Staffordshire’s fitness tourism offer, bringing first-class facilities, new experiences and exciting opportunities to the area while encouraging more people to lead active, healthier lives.”
