People across Stoke-on-Trent and North Staffordshire are being invited to shine a light on the charities, community groups, volunteers and organisations making a difference locally as nominations open for the Totally Stoked Awards 2027.

Run by VAST, the awards celebrate the strength and impact of the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise sector across Stoke-on-Trent and North Staffordshire.
VAST has been supporting communities in Stoke-on-Trent and North Staffordshire for more than 100 years. The charity is dedicated to developing a thriving VCSE sector and improving quality of life within local communities.
The Totally Stoked Awards provide an opportunity to recognise some of the people, partnerships and projects going above and beyond for communities across the area.
Charities, voluntary organisations, community groups, social enterprises, teams and individuals can all be recognised through the awards, with eight different categories celebrating the many ways local people are creating positive change.
Celebrating the people behind our communities
At the heart of Totally Stoked is the belief that everyone has something to give.
That could be time, skills, resources or lived experience. Collectively, those contributions can help communities respond to challenges with creativity, compassion and resilience.
The awards aim to celebrate the stories behind the sector too, recognising everything from grassroots community action and inspiring individuals to new ideas and partnerships bringing organisations together.
For 2027, there are eight award categories available for nominations.
Who deserves recognition in your community?
The awards are an opportunity for people across Stoke-on-Trent and North Staffordshire to think about those quietly making their communities stronger every day.
It could be a local organisation making a difference at grassroots level, an individual who continually gives their time to others, a new project bringing fresh thinking to a community challenge or a partnership that has achieved something greater by working together.
Nominations for the Totally Stoked Awards 2027 are now open.
You can find full details of the categories and make a nomination through the Totally Stoked Awards 2027 page on the VAST website.
