Bright sunshine and soaring temperatures greeted visitors to Victoria Park as Stafford’s Party in the Park and annual Duck Race returned for a day of family entertainment.

The free event took place on Saturday 11th July, bringing crowds together for live music, food, activities, stalls, funfair rides and entertainment throughout the park.
The summer weather provided the perfect setting for the community celebration, with families enjoying a scorching hot day in one of Stafford’s best-known green spaces.

The highlight of the afternoon was the annual Duck Race, which is run in support of The Rotary Club of Stafford Knot.
At 3pm, thousands of brightly coloured ducks were released onto the River Sow. A large crowd gathered along both sides of the riverbank to watch and cheer as the ducks slowly made their way downstream.
The gentle flow of the river meant the race progressed at a leisurely pace, giving spectators plenty of time to follow the ducks and see which would eventually reach the finish line.
Among those attending the event were Rugeley Town Crier Adrian Basford.

Party in the Park once again provided an opportunity for residents and visitors to enjoy a free day of entertainment while supporting the work of The Rotary Club of Stafford Knot.
