Penkridge Open Air Festival is returning for three days of live music, family entertainment and nostalgic anthems across the August Bank Holiday weekend.

Taking place at Penkridge Sports and Recreation Centre from Friday 28 to Sunday 30 August 2026, the open air festival will be headlined by 2 Unlimited and Basshunter on Friday, ABC on Saturday and The Drifters on Sunday.

The weekend promises something different each day, from the dance anthems that filled school discos during the 1990s and 2000s to feel-good pop classics and smooth soul harmonies.

More artists are expected to be announced ahead of the festival.

Friday: 90s and 00s throwback

Friday 28 August will launch the festival weekend with an evening of huge 1990s and 2000s anthems, headlined by 2 Unlimited and Basshunter.

Gates will open at 4pm, with the first day of the festival running until 11pm.

Dutch-Belgian dance act 2 Unlimited became one of the biggest names of the 1990s, known for energetic dance floor anthems including No Limit, Get Ready for This and Tribal Dance.

Swedish singer and producer Basshunter found international success during the 2000s with tracks including Now You’re Gone, All I Ever Wanted and Angel in the Night.

Festival goers can expect big sing-along hits, nostalgic dance music and plenty of festival energy to begin the Bank Holiday weekend.

Saturday: Feel-good classics with ABC

Saturday will be headlined by legendary pop group ABC, bringing feel-good anthems, crowd-pleasing classics and pure sing-along moments to Penkridge.

Known for hits including The Look of Love, Poison Arrow and When Smokey Sings, ABC will provide the soundtrack to a full day of live music and festival entertainment.

With more acts still to be announced, Saturday is set to take visitors from an afternoon in the sunshine through to an evening of celebrations.

Sunday: The Drifters close the weekend

The festival will come to a close on Sunday with a headline performance from the legendary The Drifters.

The final day will be filled with smooth harmonies, classic hits and a more laid-back atmosphere, offering the perfect soundtrack to end the weekend on a high.

Known for timeless songs including Saturday Night at the Movies, Under the Boardwalk and Save the Last Dance for Me, The Drifters have entertained generations of music lovers.

With more acts to be announced, Sunday is ideal for families, music fans and anyone looking to enjoy the final moments of the festival.

More than live music

Across the three days, visitors will also be able to enjoy food traders, fully stocked bars and fairground rides.

The festival will include circus and BMX stunt shows, alongside workshops and entertainment for visitors of all ages.

Tickets and festival upgrades

Friday, Saturday, Sunday and full weekend tickets are available.

Tickets are being released in phases, beginning with Super Early Bird tickets, followed by Early Bird and General Admission.

Ticket prices will increase at each phase, so festivalgoers are encouraged to book early to secure the best available price.

A limited number of VIP area upgrades, gazebo area add-ons and camping add-ons are also available.

Age policy

Penkridge Open Air Festival is open to all ages.

Anyone aged 17 or under must attend with a supervising adult aged 21 or over at all times.

The festival operates a Challenge 25 policy, and visitors may be asked to provide identification.
