AEDdonate Celebrates Reaching 10,000 Locations Across the UK

Staffordshire-based charity reaches landmark milestone helping communities become better prepared to respond to sudden cardiac arrest.

AEDdonate is celebrating a significant milestone after reaching 10,000 locations
across the United Kingdom through raising awareness, delivering education, providing guidance and helping communities become better prepared to respond to sudden cardiac arrest.

The 10,000 locations we've reached reflect the breadth of AEDdonate's work. From
schools, village halls and workplaces to pubs, places of worship, sports clubs,
garden centres, community first responder vehicles, boats, buses and personal
defibrillators, each one represents people choosing to be prepared to save a life.

For more than a decade, the Staffordshire-based charity has worked alongside
schools, sports clubs, businesses, charities, community organisations and public
sector bodies, raising awareness of sudden cardiac arrest, educating thousands of
people, providing expert guidance and improving access to life-saving defibrillators.

Through its FIRM approach – Fund, Install, Register and Maintain – AEDdonate
supports organisations throughout the entire journey, from securing funding and
installing equipment to registering devices on the national defibrillator network,
providing maintenance support and delivering education that helps communities stay emergency ready.

Chief Executive Officer Jamie Richards MBE said:

This milestone reflects the commitment of AEDdonate's dedicated team, the passion of its volunteers and the generosity of its supporters, donors, fundraisers, community champions, businesses and partner organisations. Together, they have raised awareness, educated communities, improved access to life-saving defibrillators and helped ensure thousands more people are better prepared to respond to sudden cardiac arrest.

AEDdonate's work goes far beyond supplying defibrillators. Through awareness campaigns, education, guidance, fundraising support, registration, maintenance and ongoing advice, the charity helps communities build the confidence and capability to respond when every second counts.

As the charity celebrates reaching its 10,000th location, it is already looking ahead to the future, expanding education programmes, increasing public awareness and
working with even more organisations to create communities that are ready to
respond when every second counts.
