Forest Live Cannock brought five nights of live music to Staffordshire, with a packed line-up, lively crowds and a different atmosphere each night.

Held at Cannock Chase Forest on 24th - 28th June, the event welcomed headline performances from Billy Ocean, Fatboy Slim, Becky Hill, UB40 featuring Ali Campbell and McFly, with support acts including Twin Atlantic.
The series opened with a true music legend as Billy Ocean took to the stage, bringing with him the unmistakable sound that has made him one of Britain’s best loved R&B singer-songwriters. From his breakthrough 1976 hit Love Really Hurts Without You, to a career that has earned him a Grammy Award and a MOBO Lifetime Achievement Award, Billy Ocean’s headline performance marked a fitting and feelgood start to the Forest Live series.

Fatboy Slim brought a full festival atmosphere, with ravers dancing non-stop as the forest bounced from start to finish. His high-energy set was a standout moment and showed exactly why he remains one of the most exciting live acts to see.

Becky Hill delivered a phenomenal performance, with powerful live vocals and an emotional set that connected strongly with the crowd. Her night brought families, groups of friends and plenty of dancing, creating a bright and energetic atmosphere across the site. Her visible support for causes including Surfers Against Sewage and WASP added another meaningful element to the evening.
UB40 featuring Ali Campbell offered a feel-good change of pace, filling the forest with reggae classics and a relaxed, uplifting atmosphere. For many in the crowd, it was a chance to enjoy familiar favourites, while others left with a new appreciation for the band’s music.

One of the strongest parts of Forest Live Cannock was how different each evening felt. From soul and dance music to pop vocals, reggae and nostalgic guitar-driven favourites, every night had its own identity, crowd and energy.
Set against the backdrop of Cannock Chase Forest, the event once again showed how special outdoor live music can be in Staffordshire. With strong performances, a well-supported line-up and a brilliant atmosphere throughout, Forest Live Cannock proved to be a highlight of the summer events calendar.
For anyone who loves live music, next year’s Forest Live dates will be well worth watching out for when they are announced. It is a series that continues to bring something special to Staffordshire’s summer calendar.
