Potteries Media CIC (6 Towns Radio) is proud to announce that it has been awarded funding by the Community Foundation for Staffordshire and Shropshire and Stoke Community Grants Fund, as part of the 'OneStoke' initiative, marking an exciting new chapter for community broadcasting in Stoke-on-Trent.

This support will enable the launch of Community Voices, a brand-new, community-led programme designed to amplify local stories, perspectives, and talent from the many backgrounds that make our city the fantastic and diverse place it is, along with providing opportunities for training and media experience.

At the heart of Community Voices is a commitment to giving residents a platform to be heard. The programme will be led by Adam Gratton (6TR, The Community Cast), who will bring together a diverse group of local contributors who will help shape and deliver content that truly reflects the city’s rich and varied communities.

The initiative aims to empower individuals from across Stoke-on-Trent to share their experiences, discuss issues that matter to them, and celebrate the unique identity of their neighbourhoods. From storytelling and interviews to discussions and creative features, Community Voices will provide an inclusive space where everyone has the opportunity to participate at a level they’re comfortable with.

Adam Gratton, who will be leading the project, expressed his enthusiasm for the programme: “This is a fantastic opportunity to bring people together, provide opportunities and training and ensure that every voice in our community has a chance to be heard. With the support of One Stoke funding, we can build something that genuinely represents the people of this city.”

The people of Stoke-on-Trent will play a vital role in shaping the direction of the show, working collaboratively to produce authentic and engaging content. Their involvement ensures the programme remains rooted in real experiences and perspectives.

6 Towns Radio has long been dedicated to supporting local talent and fostering community connections, and this latest development reinforces its mission. The introduction of Community Voices is expected to strengthen engagement, encourage new participation, and create meaningful dialogue across the city.

Further details about the programme, including how to get involved, will be announced in the coming weeks.
