Stoke-on-Trent Male Voice Choir will perform a free charity concert in Newcastle-under-Lyme this September, raising support for firefighters and their families.

The City of Stoke-on-Trent Male Voice Choir will take to the stage in Newcastle-under-Lyme this September for a special concert supporting firefighters and their families.
The charity concert will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Brampton Road on Saturday 12 September, from 7pm until 9.30pm.
Entry is free, with those attending invited to make a voluntary donation directly to Fire Fighters Charity. Light refreshments will be available, while guests will also have the opportunity to take a tour of the church building during the interval.
Supporting the fire services community
Fire Fighters Charity provides clinical care, personal wellbeing services and practical support for members of the fire services community and their families, both during and after service.
Its support includes help with physical and mental health needs, financial wellbeing and some of the challenges that can affect family life.
The charity works with all 52 Fire and Rescue Services across the UK, although it remains independent and relies predominantly on voluntary funding.
A local choir with a proud history
The City of Stoke-on-Trent Male Voice Choir has been part of the area’s musical life since 1950, when it began as the Parkhall Colliery Male Voice Choir.
Formed by men connected to one of Stoke-on-Trent’s major local industries, the choir later adopted its current name during its Golden Anniversary Concert in 2000.
Over the years, its members have performed across the country and overseas, while continuing to share their love of music and song with local audiences.
The September concert offers people the chance to enjoy a special evening of live music while showing their appreciation for firefighters and supporting the wider fire services community.
