Eccleshall Show returns tomorrow for a great family day out in Staffordshire

Eccleshall Show returns tomorrow, 5th September, with equestrian competitions, classic vehicles, family entertainment, food and traditional country show attractions.

Eccleshall Show returns on Saturday 5 September 2026, bringing traditional country competitions, family entertainment and classic vehicles to The Parks in Sugnall.

Around 5,000 people attend the popular show each year, which takes place in the rolling grounds on the outskirts of the historic market town of Eccleshall.

Organised by volunteers to raise funds for charities, the event offers something for all ages across three large fields.

Equestrian events and classic vehicles

The show’s extensive equestrian section will feature show jumping alongside ridden and in-hand competitions.

Visitors will also be able to explore a huge classic-vehicle display featuring more than 500 vehicles.

Entertainment in the main ring will include a headline act, a public dog agility competition, children’s sports and flyball.

Horticulture, crafts and family entertainment

Inside the Horticultural and Craft marquee, judges will search for the best blooms, heaviest vegetables and champion crafts. There will also be a selection of popular children’s competitions.

Dog owners can enter their pets into the companion dog show on the day, with pedigree and novelty classes offering plenty of opportunities for Staffordshire’s prize pooches.

Other attractions will include a farrier display, brass band performances, Punch and Judy, a children’s fun fair and static engines.

Food and shopping at Eccleshall Show

Visitors can enjoy freshly prepared traditional refreshments in the WI Refreshments marquee.

A fresh food area and shopping marquee will also feature a range of food stands, while trade and charity stalls will be located throughout the showground.
