Castle Classics adds People’s Choice award and new prizes for October car show

Classic and retro vehicles will line Ironmarket in Newcastle-under-Lyme on 24 October 2026, with visitors choosing the winner of a new award.

Ironmarket will close to traffic and fill with classic and retro vehicles when Castle Classics returns to Newcastle-under-Lyme on 24 October 2026.

The popular event is delivered by Newcastle-under-Lyme BID in partnership with The Red Haired Stokie and 6 Towns Radio.

Cars registered before 2006 are welcome, giving owners of vehicles more than 20 years old the chance to take part. While the cars line the street, the town centre’s shops, cafés and pubs will be open for visitors to enjoy throughout the day.

This year brings a new reason to enter. The People’s Choice award will be decided by visitors to the show, and every vehicle is in with a chance. A car might win people over because it is cool, cute or unlike anything else on Ironmarket. Perfect paintwork is not required.

Two more businesses have also donated prizes for winning vehicles.

Stacks of Tyres is based in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent, and offers tyres, wheel alignment and mobile fitting. Open seven days a week, the business highlights its honest advice and fast service, and says it has received more than 1,600 five-star Google reviews.

Fellow prize donor Mosschem is a UK manufacturer of professional car care products, detailing and automotive cleaning solutions. With more than 20 years of industry experience, it supplies car enthusiasts, professional detailers, valeting businesses and trade customers across the UK.
