What are your own personal memories of Stoke-on-Trent & Staffordshire?

Memories are your identity. they ARE your life experiences, how you view the world, why you view the world in the way you do - without them, you don't know who you are.

6 Towns Radio’s Tuesday afternoon programme, Talk of The Towns, is looking to hear from anybody (18 and over) with memories of Stoke-on-Trent, be they wartime memories, school memories, work-related memories, family memories, happy or even sad memories - for broadcast on future shows.

Tim Bryce remembers the day Shelton Steel works closed, describing it as ‘The end of an era’ for our city. While Karen fondly recollects the night Lenny Henry visited the Theatre royal, Hanley, in 1998.

Whatever your memories of Stoke-on-Trent (and the rest of Staffordshire for that matter), please get in touch.

Our aim is to record – with your permission of course – as many memories as we can and then play them out on the show.

Interested? Please email p.anderson@access-global.com enclosing a short description of your memory and we’ll contact you back to arrange a time when it would be convenient for us to carry out the recording.

For those who don’t have access to the net are more than welcome to telephone me direct on 01782454072.

You’ll probably find that your parents and grandparents have lots of memories. We’d love to hear from them, too.
