Tedx Conference to come to Hanley Stoke-on-Trent sharing new ideas and visions

It is said that when you have a idea, or many ideas at once you can attract all the things that we all crave from day to day. Such things as money, time, energy and anything else that enhances your life 

This Saturday will see the TEDxStoke conference and the theme is all about spreading good ideas and inspiration among the people of Stoke-on-Trent.

TED, it is a non-profit making organisation which was set up in 1984 at a conference to encourage people to come together from the areas of technology, entertainment and design.

Since then, it has expanded to such a degree that it now attracts some of the finest minds from society across a much wider scope of topics.

The TEDx conferences, like the one taking place at the YMCA Hanley this weekend, are independently-organised events designed to use the same format to inspire local commuinities and not surprisingly there is a waiting list for the people who wish to attend

There is no word yet over which speakers will appear but its likely that it will be nothing short of invigorating and give those in attendance something to go away and think about.

The conference should be a starting point, an opportunity for people to debate and create a vision for change, rather than an excuse to moan about what’s wrong with Stoke-on-Trent.
