Build It summit attracts housing developers to Stoke - on - Trent

12 Oct 2012
Development-ready sites will be showcased at an event for house builders
aimed at driving up the quality and quantity of new homes in Stoke-on-Trent.

Stoke-on-Trent City Council is hosting a working breakfast on Monday
October 15, to highlight locations, support and incentive packages available to
developers as part of the new fast track approach to housing development.

Experts from the council’s city regeneration, planning and housing
departments will be on hand to provide advice and support and to discuss the
first releases of key sites.

Councillor Mohammed Pervez, leader of Stoke-on-Trent City Council, will host
the summit.
He said: “Stoke-on-Trent is transforming. It is a city which has always enjoyed
great connectivity and we are taking an innovative approach to respond to the
economic challenges we face.
“Last year we launched our Mandate for Change and we are working with
house builders to make Stoke-on-Trent a great city to live in.”

Stoke-on-Trent City Council is committed to saying ‘yes’ to good
development, offering a red carpet approach to developers with a single point
of contact, streamlined planning, access to external funding, incentives and
access to labour markets.
