Slash ends speculation of an Album link up with Robbie Williams despite Stoke Connection

Slash ended speculation that he is to play on Robbie Williams latest album "Take The Crown"

He added this message to his facebook group
There's a rumor going round that I'm playing on Robbie William's new record; we discussed it but my schedule made it not possible. iiii]; )' 

So where did the rumour come from. A bit of dectective work reveals that Biffy Clyro singer Simon Neil told British music magazine Nme, "I got asked to play a solo on his record too, but I turned it down. I wish all the best for Robbie, but I don't think he needs my help. Bizarrely, I think Slash is going to play the solo now, which makes the whole thing cooler."

Links between Slash and Robbie are close, not only are they connected through both being raised in Stoke - on - Trent, they are also neighbours - they live not too far apart in Los Angeles, USA.
