Stoke pub wins regional award for diverse range of ciders

01 Aug 2012

popular Stoke-on-Trent pub has won a regional award for its diverse range of ciders.

Titanic brewery pub, the Bulls Head, in St John’s Square, Burslem, has long been renowned for its award winning real ale range.

Now, cider enthusiasts from CAMRA (the Campaign for Real Ale) have crowned the Bulls Head as CAMRA West Midlands Cider Pub of the Year (2012).

Manager, Bob Crumpton, regularly has at least seven ciders and three brands of perry, available on the bar, including lesser known names such as Pure North, Mad Hatter and Gwynt Y Draig.

Bob said: “The Bulls Head is Titanic’s brewery tap and always has award winning beer both from Titanic’s own range and breweries across the UK on the bar.

“But there is also a real interest in cider and, while we do stock some well known names, we also like to give our customers a varied taste of ciders from around Britain.”

Staff at the Bulls Head will be presented with the CAMRA award on Friday evening at around 8pm.
