Ray Crowther joins 6 Towns Radio

Popular radio DJ - Ray Crowther will be donning the headphones and taking to the microphone at 6 Towns Radio from this Friday (13-07-2012) to host the mid morning show from 10am - 1pm. Expect all Ray's usual banter and wit that over 20 years on Signal Radio has shown us.
He'll be including community features on his show like 'Jobsearch' and 'Crimewatch'.
Potteries Media CIC Director Terry Bossons said 

"Ray is a local radio legend, it shows how far 6 Towns Radio has come to have such talent joining our ranks, we have over 90 volunteers now and knowing Ray he will be a great mentor to some of our new presenters".

Ray Crowther said

"I am genuinely excited at the prospect of joining the team at 6 Towns Radio. I’ve lived in Staffordshire all my life and worked in the Potteries for around 25 years and consider it my old stomping ground. 
I started my career at Signal Radio and went on to spend a total of 21 years there also having a spell at BBC Radio Stoke, so I very much feel the Potteries to be my second home. I'm currently studying Music Broadcasting at Staffordshire University in Stoke and station manager of the student radio station - OMG, based on College Road. I return to my final year of study in September, but in the meantime I'm thrilled to be working with the 6 Towns team during the summer - they very much share my passion for quailty community radio"
