Potato Bread (Farls)
Makes 6, Prep 20min, Cook 10min
450g x Cooked Potatoes
55g x Butter
110g x Self-Raising Flour, or as needed
1/2 x Pinch Salt
Heat a lightly greased flat griddle or heavy based frying pan over medium-high heat. Mash the potatoes with the flour, butter and salt until a stiff dough forms. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured work surface. Knead the dough lightly and roll it out to about 1cm thick, then cut into six triangular wedges. Working in batches, cook the potato bread in the hot pan, turning once until golden brown, this take approx. 4 to 5 minutes per side.
Tip:- If you are using leftover (cold) potatoes, melt butter before mixing it in.
