JONATHAN WILKES AND CHRISTIAN PATTERSON RETURN TO THE POTTERIES THIS CHRISTMAS IN THE REGENT THEATRE’S ARROW-SHOOTING PANTOMIME SPECTACULAR, ROBIN HOOD
The Regent Theatre has today announced the return of pantomime favourites Jonny Wilkes and Christian Patterson in Stoke-on-Trent’s family pantomime adventure, Robin Hood. Jonny will star in the title role while Christian plays Robin Hood’s legendary companion, Friar Tuck.
Robin Hood will mark Jonny Wilkes’ 13th Regent panto. No stranger to the stage, Jonny has enjoyed a varied stage career including lead roles in Chicago, The Rocky Horror Show, Guys and Dolls and Grease, and held hosting duties on You’ve Been Framed and Love on a Saturday Night on television.
Christian Patterson stars alongside Jonny for the 9th time in the stage partnership that delights Stoke audiences year after year. Trained at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, Christian’s extensive list of stage credits income The Woman in Black, Journey’s End and Matilda.
Produced by Qdos Entertainment, the world’s biggest pantomime producer, audiences will join the most heroic outlaw of them all as the arrow-shooting hero Robin Hood strives to win the hand of the beautiful Maid Marion while he and his trusty band of Merry Men outwit the evil Sheriff of Nottingham in a show full of action, adventure, music, laughter and audience participation.
Qdos Entertainment’s Managing Director Michael Harrison said: “Jonny and Christian are such an important part of the Stoke-on-Trent Christmas tradition and we are absolutely delighted that they have agreed to bring their unique comedy partnership back to the Regent Theatre again this Christmas. The team at Qdos Entertainment are already working hard to create a spectacular production for Stoke-on-Trent audiences, which will mark Qdos’ second season producing pantomime at the Regent Theatre, following the success of Aladdin last Christmas.”
Grace Challinor, General Manager at The Regent Theatre said: “We are delighted to welcome back Jonny and Christian for The Regent’s 2018 Panto, Robin Hood. It will be a spectacular production with lots of comedy and amazing surprises. We are also excited to work with world-renowned panto producers Qdos, as they bring their first class production to The Regent Stage.”
