SIDE-SPLITTING COMEDY AND ‘60S HITS IN STRICTLY ERIC

The legendary character of Eric is back at the New Vic from Monday 21 August to Saturday 2 September as David Graham Productions return to the theatre for a side-splitting comedy jam-packed with ‘60s hits.

Performed by a multi-talented band of actors and musicians, Strictly Eric is a non-stop comedy that features lots of laughs.

The 1969 World Ballroom Championships are taking place at the Tower Ballroom, Blackpool.
The two favourites are the couples from Germany and England and after three consecutive German victories the English couple are determined to win.

Eric and Gordon have been employed to help in the organisation by the tournament organiser, Arthur Strictly. Could this be Strictly’s biggest ever mistake? Or is that leaving the catering in the hands of a dinner lady? And surely Eric (he of the two left feet) is not going to dance… is he?

First performed in 1999 as a one-night-only event, ‘Eric’s’ visit to the award-winning New Vic fast became a North Staffordshire tradition, offering a unique brand of musical nostalgia and comedy to entertain audiences. Nearly 20 years later, the multi-talented cast of actors and musicians still guarantee an ultimate party night out.

Tickets for Strictly Eric are priced from £16.50 to £23.50 (concessions available) and can be booked online at newvictheatre.org.uk and by calling Box Office on 01782 717962. A transaction fee of £1.00 per ticket applies when booking online.
