The Newgrass Cutters Returning To The MET

Pete Brown (son of ‘Rock ‘n’ Roll’ veteran Joe) together with internationally renowned band, The Newgrass Cutters, is returning to the MET Studio next week to give local audiences another rip-roaring performance of blues-grass music at its finest.

Featuring the same superb musicians who tour with Joe Brown at his sell-out gigs: the incredible Nashville recording artist and banjo/mandolin virtuoso, Richard Collins; Mike Nichols on bass; legendary drummer and singer Phil Capaldi; plus top producer Pete Brown on guitar, lap steel and mandolin.
All share a love of blue-grass music and are sure to wow Stafford audiences with their stunning new arrangements of rock and pop classics, Phil’s brilliant “Elvis Presley” interpretations, and acclaimed vocal and instrumental performances.
Collectively they’ve worked with some of the biggest names in the business, such as Joe & Sam Brown, George Harrison, Deep Purple, Dave Gilmour, Steve Winwood, Jim Capaldi, Dave Edmunds, Don Gibson, Flying Burrito Brothers, and Glen Campbell, to name but a few.
Guitar legend Albert Lee, Amen Corner’s Andy Fairweather Low, Chas ‘n’ Dave, and Fairport Convention’s Dave Pegg have all gone on record to express their love of the band.
The Newgrass Cutters are guaranteed to have you grinning and singing along. Don’t miss out – book now!
The Newgrass Cutters will be performing in the MET Studio at Stafford Gatehouse Theatre on Sunday 30th April at 8pm. Tickets are priced at £15.50 and are available from Box Office on 01785 619080 or via www.staffordgatehousetheatre.co.uk
