6TR Visit Musical Theatre Stafford’s Rehearsal In Search Of The Holy Grail

Curtain Call were lucky enough to visit the Spamalot rehearsals of Musical Theatre Stafford prior to their production of the hilarious popular show next week at the Stafford Gatehouse Theatre.

Listen in to Curtain Call, the culture show on 6 Towns Radio, on Saturday 29th April 4-6 PM to hear interviews with the cast of this fine production.

A new name and a new show in 2017 for members of local theatre group Musical Theatre Stafford (MTS) – and the future looks bright for these talented performers (formerly known as Stafford & District Operatic Society) as they prepare for their next production of the hilariously popular show, Monty Python’s Spamalot, at Stafford Gatehouse Theatre next week.
Always look on the bright side of life and join MTS on their search for the Holy Grail.

Lovingly ‘ripped off’ from the comedy film classic, Monty Python and The Holy Grail, Spamalot is a riotous spoof of the tale of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table.

Sent on a divine quest for the Holy Grail, King Arthur meets with many challenges – from plague and pestilence, to flatulent French people – and yet, with his trusty valet, valiant steed (or is that coconut shells) and the guidance of our divine Diva, the Lady of the Lake and her bevy of beautiful dancing girls, he prevails against all odds, flying cows and killer rabbits.

With music by Eric Idle, Spamalot features tunes more magical than a Camelot convention – including ‘He Is Not Dead Yet’, ‘Knights of the Round Table’, ‘Find Your Grail’ and, of course, the Nation’s Favorite Comedy song, ‘Always Look On the Bright Side of Life’.

This show is guaranteed to make you smile and laugh-a-lot!
Spamalot will be performed at Stafford Gatehouse Theatre on Tuesday 2nd – Saturday 6th May at 7.30pm, with an additional Matinee performance at 2pm on Saturday 6th May. Tickets are priced at £15.50, with a concession price of £14.50, as well as an additional ticket offer of 4 tickets for the price of 3 for the performance on Tuesday 2nd May, and are available from the Box Office on 01785 619080 or online via www.staffordgatehousetheatre.co.uk
