The story follows a middle class family’s appointment of a social worker to help a young child deal with her deafness. Rachel’s late father lost his hearing suddenly and lived the last two years of his life profoundly dear. Rachel learnt Sign Language at the age of 16 and has lived and breathed Deaf Awareness since becoming an Ambassador for National Deaf Children’s Society and a passionate supporter of local charity DeafLinks.

Rachel talks about her inspiring script, which her and her Film Producer boyfriend Chris Overton, plan to film locally. They are also searching for a deaf child locally aged around five to six years old to take on the role of Libby in the film.
