Good Luck To Joe & Jake At Eurovision 2016 – Poll Where Will They Finish?

Friend of 6 Towns Radio Jake Shakeshaft performs to his biggest ever audience this evening (Saturday 14th May 2016) in front of an expected 180 million global TV viewers as part of the duo Joe and Jake in Stockholm at Eurovision 2016.

Jake won best newcomer award at the 6 Towns Radio Awards night in January 2015 and also appeared in a 6 Towns Radio promotional video in January 2015 with his dad George acting as a doorman and “Elvis” washing the dishes in the kitchen (Intrigued??? See the video below)

Anyway, back to Eurovision 2016.

As we all know, things have changed very much since the likes of Bucks Fizz won the contest with tactical/ political voting affecting the UK entries in recent years, seeing Jemini getting No Points back in 2003 with their song Cry Baby – They claim that Terry Wogan told them it was due to the UK taking part in the Iraq war.

The UK hasn’t really fared much better since then and Joe and Jake have been reported as saying that they would be happy appearing on the left hand side of the board (which means in the top half). Bookies have them down as 66/1 shots to actually win it with their entry “You’re Not Alone” with Russia being hot favourites at 4/7. (*odds from Bet365)
