JACK BUTLAND voted England U21 player of the year for 2015

JACK BUTLAND’s reputation for Club and country continues to grow after the Stoke City goalkeeper was voted as England U21 Player of the Year for 2015.

The 22-year-old has impressed for the Potters so far this season following a string of eye-catching displays between the posts.

Voted for by England Supporters Club members, Butland received 54% of the final count to beat close friend Nathan Redmond and fellow U21 teammates James Ward-Prowse, Carl Jenkinson and Jesse Lingard.

City’s number one picks up the accolade after captaining Gareth Southgate’s side at the U21 European Championships in the Czech Republic, before stepping his way into the England senior team toward the end of the year.

Butland will be aiming to continue his excellent form and book himself a place in the Three Lions’ squad at Euro 2016 this summer.

He will pick up his 2015 U21 Player of the Year award alongside senior winner Wayne Rooney when England next meet up in March.
