6 Towns Radio to host Lou Macari Marvellous night in aid of the homeless

6 Towns Radio will be hosting a Lou Macari “Marvellous” charity night with former Stoke City and Celtic manager at Sainsburys Cafe in their store on London Road, Stoke on Monday 14th December 2015 at 7pm.

The charity event is for the homeless people of the city of Stoke – on -Trent, which Lou is championing with the aim of opening a building in the city which would be given to the needy for overnight accommodation during the winter months.

Former Stoke City players including Mark “Steino” Stein, Terry Conroy and Mike Pejic have also pledged their support to the event and will join the star of the Bafta winning BBC drama “Marvellous” Neil “Nello” Baldwin.

Lou said: “As Neil keeps telling us, the film has made him famous and he’s more than happy to use that fame to help homeless people in Stoke-on-Trent.

“Anyone who comes along will be able to chat to Neil and myself and several ex-Stoke players. Apart from Neil, Mark Stein was perhaps my best signing and I’m delighted he and others have agreed to support this event.”

Tickets for the event are limited to 150 with half of them already pre-sold. They are £5 each, and available from Sainsbury’s Stoke (01782 747090) and include a pie and peas supper which will be served in the interval.

Rob Ledgar from the Boots Bats N Balls show has been asked to host the evening for 6 Towns Radio and will be encouraging the audience to write their questions for the panel on the evening.

  1. Hi Rob. If there’s any tickets left I’d like two please. I’ve been involved with talks about the setting up of temporary accommodation for the homeless particularly over this Winter period. One venue has been identified in Burslem and is looking to open in January, and we’re looking at Fenton for another, so it would be good to know what Lou’s initiative is. Cheers, Glenn.

  2. Hi. I would like 2 tickets please if there are any available. I would love to be involved in helping homeless people & want to learn more on how I can help. Thanks, Katie
