In Off The Bar is the weekly show that takes a sideways swipe at the Barclays Premier League. It’s presented by the self-titled “Dream Team of Radio” Rich The Man Hughes, Karl Robinson and Dan Townley and can be heard every Sunday from 12-2pm.
Rich The Man Hughes – Captain. Leader. Legend (or something like that) Rich is the ‘driver’ of the show and makes sure everything stays on course. Often heard making remarks they quickly have to apologise for and he’s the founder of ‘Rich The Man Hughes’ Lovely Looking Boys Club’. He’s also the token Stoke City fan. Every show needs one.
Karl Robinson – He’s the STAT MAN Ba-da-ba-da-ba-be bop bop bodda bope. In a bit of a pickle and need a stat to back up your point? Karl is the man you need to speak to. Observer of the show, doesn’t waste his words like the other two but when he does talk it’s like audio honey. He’s 1/2 of the Manchester United contingent on the show.
Dan Townley – He gets upset by the trivial far too easily. Referee’s, Linesman, Steven Gerrard and Goalkeepers in short sleeve shirts have been in the firing line in the occasional feature ‘Dan’s Rant’. He’s not good with names either, re-naming JAMIE Vardy as Jermaine is one of his lowlights. Manchester United fan (Typical).
