LISTEN | Darts star Luke Humphries speaks to Dan Townley

Ahead of the PDC's World Darts Championships starting on Friday (15th December), we sat down with Luke Humphries to talk about his three major honours this year, playing at Ally Pally and more!

Crewe-based Humphries is the name on everybody's lips as the darting world looks towards the opening night of the 2023 World Championships with the 28-year-old heading into Alexandra Palace with three majors under his belt and in red-hot form.

The first major of his career came just over 2 months ago with his 5-2 victory over 'The Iceman' Gerwyn Price during the World Grand Prix, a unique tournament that starts with double-in as well as double-out.

A month after his first taste of major his success Luke would get his hands on his second major after beating Rob Cross in the final of the Grand Slam of Darts in Wolverhampton.

'Cool Hand Luke' would then win his third major of the season (a feat only achieved previously by Michael van Gerwen and Stoke-on-Trent's own Phil 'The Power' Taylor) only seven days later by winning the Players Championship Finals by beating the aforementioned Michael van Gerwen 11-9 in the final held at Butlins in Minehead.

You can listen to Luke talk about his major successes, the World Darts Championship and more in the below interview.
